1. Overview
This Hire Agreement sets out the terms on whichΒ Hire Society Co hires garments to you. By booking and/or paying an invoice, you agree to our Hire Agreement and Terms & Conditions (listed below).
2. Booking & Confirmation
β’ A booking is only confirmed once payment is received in full.
β’ We may decline a booking request at our discretion.
β’ If an invoice is not paid by the due time, the item/date may be released to another customer.
3. Hire Period
β’ Standard hire period isΒ 4 days unless otherwise discussed and/or stated on your invoice.
β’ The hire period starts at collection/delivery date and ends at return due date/time listed on your invoice. Deliveries will arrive before or on the agreed date.
β’ Returns must arrive by the agreed return date. If item is not returned by the agreed return date, late fees may occur.
4. Pickup & Delivery
β’ Pickup: Freshwater, NSW (exact address provided upon booking confirmation).
β’ Delivery: Available for a fee discussed and quoted before booking confirmation.
β’ Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or circumstances outside our control.
5. Garment Condition
β’ All garments are checked and supplied in clean, hire-ready condition.
β’ Minor signs of wear consistent with renting may be present.
β’ You must notify us within 2 hours of receiving the garment if there is a concern about condition.
6. Wear & Care Rules
You agree to:
β’ Wear the garment responsibly and keep it in your possession.
β’ Do not alter the garment (no hemming, pinning that leaves holes, tape that damages fabric, etc.).
β’ Avoid fake tan, body oils, heavy perfume, and makeup transfer where possible.
β’ No smoking while wearing or storing the garment.
β’ Keep the garment away from pets, rough surfaces, and open flames.
7. Cleaning
β’ Do not wash or dry clean the garment unless we give written approval.
β’ Standard cleaning is included unless excessive staining occurs.
β’ If the garment requires specialist cleaning due to stains/odour, you agree to cover the additional cost.
8. Damage, Loss & Theft
You are responsible for the garment from the time it is collected/delivered until it is returned and checked by us.
If the garment is:
β’ Damaged: you will be charged repair costs (and any additional hire loss if relevant).
β’ Not repairable / lost / stolen: you will be charged the replacement cost (RRP or current market value) plus any associated fees.
9. Late Returns
β’ Late returns incur a late fee of $20 per day (or part thereof) unless otherwise stated.
β’ Late returns that affect another booking may incur additional charges.
10. Fit Responsibility
We provide sizing guidance, but you acknowledge:
β’ Fit can vary by body shape and preference.
β’ You are responsible for ensuring the item fits and is suitable for your event.
11. Cancellations
β’ Cancellations and changes are governed by our Terms & Conditions (below) / Refund Policy.
β’ We may offer store credit depending on notice provided and availability.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
β’ allergic reactions or injuries arising from wearing hired garments,
β’ indirect or consequential loss,
β’ delays or issues outside our control.
13. Acceptance
By paying your invoice or booking through our website/DM, you confirm you have read and agree to this Hire Agreement and our Terms & Conditions (below).

π©΅ Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, hires, purchases, enquiries and interactions with Hire Society Co. By placing a booking, submitting an enquiry, or completing payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in addition to our Hire Agreement (listed above).Β
1. Eligibility
- You must agree to our Hire Agreement (above) and Terms & Conditions when renting a garment from Hire Society Co.
- We reserve the right to request valid photo identification before releasing a garment.
2. Pricing & Payments
- All prices are listed in AUD.
- Delivery fees (if applicable) and any additional charges will be clearly outlined on your invoice.
- Payment must be completed by the stated due date. Unpaid invoices may result in the booking being cancelled or released.
3. Delivery, Pickup & Risk
- Pickup is available from Freshwater, NSW.
- Delivery is available for a fee quoted prior to booking confirmation.
- Once a garment has been collected or delivered, risk passes to the hirer until the garment is returned and checked.
- We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by couriers or circumstances outside our control.
4. Responsibility for Garments
- The hirer is responsible for the garment at all times during the hire period.
- Any loss, theft or damage must be reported to us immediately.
- You acknowledge that hired garments are worn by multiple clients and may show minor signs of wear consistent with rental.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations are subject to notice periods and availability.
- Refunds are not guaranteed and may be issued as store credit at our discretion.
- Change of mind, weather conditions, illness, or event cancellation do not automatically entitle the hirer to a refund.
- All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
6. Fit, Comfort & Suitability
- While we provide sizing and fit guidance, Hire Society Co does not guarantee fit.
- You acknowledge that body shape, height and personal preference affect fit and comfort.
- No refunds or credits will be issued for fit-related issues.
7. Social Media & Content Use
- If you tag or share content featuring our garments, you grant Hire Society Co permission to repost this content for marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
- If you have any issues with content posted by Hire Society Co featuring you please reach out and we will take it down immediately.Β
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Hire Society Co is not liable for any injury, allergic reaction, loss or damage arising from the use of hired garments.
- We are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
10. Changes to Terms
- Hire Society Co reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- The version in force at the time of booking will apply.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, booking a hire, or completing payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to both our Hire Agreement and these Terms & Conditions.
